Oh hi there!

I’m Olga Somers, a Canadian surface pattern designer and illustrator based in the stunning Pacific Northwest.

By trade I’m a registered nurse, and I started drawing as a creative outlet from my demanding job. My career as a travel nurse has taken me all over the world, from Australia’s golden beaches to Hawaii’s lush jungle. I’ve worked in rural coastal towns, middle of a desert, and major urban centres.

My travels have inspired so many of the designs I create today. Because I love the feeling of freedom and adventure when I travel, I try to capture it in my designs by using playful colour palettes and light-hearted humour.

Every collection I design has a personal touch — a memory, a story, or a little piece of my journey. I love sharing my work with the world and hope it sparks joy wherever it’s found.
